Due to the situation during the corona pandemic and ensuing cancelled conferences the existing networking opportunities in science have been drastically reduced, which impacts especially early career scientists (ECS). Therefore the MeteoXchange project aimed to become a new platform with networking opportunities for young atmospheric scientists from all over the world. To achieve this goal, monthly virtual meetings, so-called MeteoMeets, and an annual conference for young scientists were set up and travel grants were awarded. The MeteoMeets and the annual conference now continue with the support of UPAS even after the end of the project. Current information can be found on the MeteoXchange website:
